    Default Any one put a Cummins 6bt into a 91 GMC?

    Im wondering if any one has seen or heard of any one putting a 6bt into a 91 GMC with a 4L80E tranny.

    Its been done.
    A local fellow does a lot of 4BT swaps into the GM trucks.

    The 4L80 does not seem to do well with these engines and the trick fix seems to be to use the 47RH mopar tranny with its own Tcase

    I have seen this on mid 90's Burbs and it works well.

    Its a 96,

    1993 4x4 1ton 6.5/4l80e runs on WVO.
    1996 1ton 2wd crew cab 6.5/4l80e with db2 IP.
    1996 1ton 4x4 crew cab dually with Cummins diesel
    1970 Chevy 4x4 big block 4 speed.
    1972 Chevelle convertible with 540 CID engine.
