Hi all

Most of you that have wrenched on the 6.2/6.5 diesels know that they are an ALL METRIC engine, well almost.

The bell housing bolts and the motor mount bolts on the block are 3/8 standard thread, EXCEPT the really late stuff

The late blocks have metric threads in the back of the block where the tranny bolts on and in the side where the mounts bolt on.

The rear bolts (bell housing are 10mm X 1.5

These are available from the MA GENERAL store under the part number
15724226
These are a stud topped bolt that is very similar to the old 3/8th bolt that had the metric stud top

6 bolts are required and the stud topped bolt can be used at all locations.

The bolts that go into the block at the mounts can be procured from many ACE hardware stores.
I bought the washer headed 10mm X 1.5 for the mounts.

The standard metric 10mm bolts in many cases have much larger heads than the ones GM uses.
