Come outside this morning to find someone has backed into my HD. Looks like someone with a hitch ball hit it. I have my suspicions as to who it was, but no proof and of course no note or anything. Luckily it didnt do any sheetmetal damage..

    Soo,
Does anyone know if the factory hitch will work with a Ranch Hand rear bumper? I don't want to loose the 10k rating. If so, which bumper do I get, I think it would be the cowboy, but I'm not sure.

Plus, where can I get the best deal on one. I live in VA.

    Thanks in advance,
    John

Yes, I was told that the factory hitch receiver fits right under the cowboy bumper.I had a heavier duty hitch and it had to be removed. I added a sleeve to the bumper and I believe it is rated at 10k lbs. Check out teir website if this doesn't help

Yeah, the factory receiver does fit underneath the Cowboy (that's the bumper I have), but you must buy an extension in order to clear the bottom ball plate.

I am getting it from a dealer in Billings, Montana. They are drop shipping it directly from Ranch Hand.

$449 to the terminal in Richmond.

Ranch Hand wanted 399 plus 75-80 to ship. Local dealer wanted 500 to the store, and the guy in Montana was the cheapest.

Careful with some of those extensions!! Some are rated as low as 7k. You weakest link is your ACTUAL rating. Try to get an extension at a hitch / trailer shop, not Wally World. I found that Tractor Supply has a nice choice of hitches as well.... and I love that store.

    Smile time!

I was coming home after dropping off my RV at the service center and my wife wanted to stop at this garage sale. Walking up to the sale, we heard this crash behind us. An old lady had pulled up behind me and ran into the rear of my truck.

I held my breath and walked to the rear of my truck and smiled. My hitch head took a pretty good hit but do you have any idea what that will do to the front end of a car?
