Thread: under hood cover between the grill and the radiator

Default under hood cover between the grill and the radiator

what does that plastic cover under the hood between the grill and radiator do ? can it be removed ? wouldn't it let more cool air into the engine
compartment if it was taken off ? or is it to keep cool air focused on the radiator ?

    Welcome aboard!

That cover is there to help keep the cooling stack airflow through the cooling stack. Removing it may allow some valuable cooling air to bypass the cooling stack. It also prevents debris from falling into the cooling stack, which can cause a blockage.
