    Default 10.5" rear axle

This is out of a '93 2500HD. It has 3.42 gears and G80 locking carrier. 55,000 miles. Complete drum to drum, or buy it and I'll take off the parts you want and junk the rest. Located upstate New York (Albany area). Any reasonable offer, gathering rust.

Unhappy John can you answer this quickie please...

    Hello John,
just a quick q.... you might know this...
have looked thro' TDP for an answer but found none.
Ive blind bought an 8 lug 14 bolt 9 1/2" semi floating axle with g80 lsd.(had hoped he was selling me a 10 1/2 ff. but he wasnt.)
My question is...do you know if the g80 guts/carrier out of this axle will be good for spares for my g80 14 bolt 10 1/2" ff axle on my k2500? are any parts compatible with my axle? or is it a different animal altogether?

To the best of my knowledge, the 9.5" semi-float 14-bolt is a completely different animal than the 10.5" full-float 14-bolt and nothing interchanges.

Yes, completely different. They don't even look like they're related.
