    Default Door hinge questions

I need new hinges for my 96 and also a new door latch mechanism what year will fit my truck ? The parts houses want 150 bucks for the latch so I was hoping to find one at a junk yard .
    Thanks Shaun

    Howdy
In my experience, re: hinge pins, unless you can find a known newer one in a yard you will likely have the same problems with any used parts.
My neighbor is a salvage yard and he sells new hinge kits and latches.
The cost is high and the hinge pins are a pain to replace but most of the new kits are better than what the trucks came with.
    Hope this helps

    Default Just finished that job

I just completed swapping both pins and bushings on drivers side. Accrual hinges were fine and the dorman hinge pin kit worked well.

Spring was a pain but I compressed it in the vice and locked it with tie straps. Have a helper for the door weight. I had trouble managing on my own and wifie had to help out.
