Explain this one. I removed the cover from the engine. And have run Standayne Fuel treatment for the last 2 tanks of diesel. It had been Stalling 2 or more times a day. But the last two days it hasn't skipped a beat.
It had not been putting out any codes when it was stalling. Was I just getting poor fuel?

Could have been bad fuel, or an air leak that sealed itself.

Change the fuel filter and get a spare FSD to keep handy in the glove box for the next time is dies and doesn't come back.

There was a Bolt on top of the engine that had a very slight fuel leak. Not enough to run or drip but it was damp around it. I tighted it up and it is not leaking at all now

Not sure what "bolt" you are talking about, but that surely could have been the problem. When the engine is running, every part of the fuel system after the lift pump is pressurized, which explains your fuel leak. When the engine is off, that leak could have let enough air in to cause the engine to stall.

I hope that was your problem. Wish they all were that simple.
