I have heard some reports that the injectors are buried on the early model Duramax & replacing them is a 1-2 day job at the dealer.
Can anyone verify or dispell this for me?

Pretty close.

A really good, experienced tech can get in, and out of the job in less than an 8 hour shift. This is, of course, if no other problems come up. Lots of parts between the hood and injectors.

To replace one injector, you need to remove the valve cover where the injector is located. You also have to remove the "fuel" plumbing to all four of the injectors in that particular bank.

For the newer LLY version, there is no need to remove the valve cover. Each injector is plumbed independently.

Had mine replaced at 100,000 then at 104,000 and now at 140,000. Dealer told me that GM has extended the warr. until 300,000 miles.

Tell me more about the 300k warranty. Was that just for you or for all 6.6?

I have 98,000 and a bad injector (again). I'm concerned about the big "100,000" marker and being dis-owned by GM.
