Where to buy complete fuel filter kit?

I now have 38,000 miles on my D/A and after reading all the fuel quality/filter/injector issues I think it may be time to get a second fuel filter. :rolleyes:

I know John Kennedy sells the MEGA filter as a kit. Who else sells a complete kit using a CAT or Racor filter?

I leaning toward installing a post OEM MEGA or CAT filter but don't want to go as far as a lift pump yet.

I have installed one of these kits and it works fine. No need for lift pump, that is a different issue.

I put a Mega on almost a month ago, pre-OEM because of the EGR :mad: , and I have yet to even have a single problem :D .
Well UPS did give it a good beating, nothing major though. Even after going after JK in a famous pipe thread here, I got some of the best customer service I've ever had.

As far as a lift pump goes, I don't foresee one in my future, no need. I've driven it daily with multiple start ups, parked it for three days, and ran it up to 115 since install, all with no problems.
With that said, I'd do it all again and actually I will be as soon as I have time and my bud can keep his truck stopped for a few hours.

I was pleased with the 660 Heated Racor Kit from www.lubespecialist (http://www.lubespecialist) . I did add a shutoff valve for ease off changing filter. Also a lighted toggle switch to the relay so when I know it doesn't need heat I make sure it's off . Bracket for mounting fit perfect on holes in frame. ;)

Blue Ox, I have an 03 with EGR, and installed a MEGA post-oem. I had to turn the OUT fitting on th oem mount, aiming it up a little, and then turn the IN fittng to point a little downward to get clearance for the hoses. To be safe, I then put Loctite wick n lock on the oem fittings to reseal them. It was still a tight fit to get the new lines in and clamped, but it worked fine. I don't see any other way, except to move the oem mount as you suggested.

I looked into doing it as you described, but then chose not to turn the fittings. I'd rather have basically a spacer in there to move it out. Either way it will be a pain to return to stock if the need should arise. With a spacer, I won't have to worry about leaks and/or breaking things.
