Welcome to the site. If you've got a Duramax you're gonna need an exhaust, an intake, and some sort of plug in power gizmo. Then after a week or two you'll want more power, an auxilary fuel filter and maybe even a lift pump. That oughta cover you for a month or two. Oh yeah, stay away from Mackin and you'll be fine. If you're confused about anything ask Kennedy. ;)

I have been thinking about a lift pump, I also need to upgrade the tranny :( Oh well I could be spending my money on a broken f*** product.

I'm a Newbie as well. I don't know about staying away from Mackin, I think he's got it figured out "Dmax is the drug and I'm hooked" or words to that effect. This is my first non Ford and first Diesel as well. After three months and just under 7000 miles, I'm a complete Diesel Junkie! My wife woke me up the other night and told me to stop talking about my truck. It's takeing over my life!

You can get the rancho's from Sam's Off road but the price was 209.00 for a set of four but their price just went up. Always check with JK to see if he is running a special. Sam's site is:
http://www.samsoffroad.com/samsoffroadsto/rancho.htm
And JK's site is:

Welcome, fellas!
This is a great place to learn more about your trucks, whether they be things you never knew but wanted too, or things you didn't want to!

And yes, watch out for Mackin'! He's kinda like your street corner pusher when it comes to hoppin' up D-maxes!
