We know the new Cummins uses high pressure common rail and we know it uses the same Bosch hp pump as the DMax.

We also know the Cummins injectors do not look identical and I haven't been able to find any specifics on what manufacturer makes those injectors.

The reason I wonder is I hear the Cummins injectors cost a whole lot less than ours. I'm just curious how Dodge was able to get away with much lower cost injectors with the same type system.

Probably because GM is simply bending the owners over. Cummins maybe not quite as bad. I know a performance set of injectors (all 6) runs $800 for the 50hp injectors.

Lets see; $45 for a fuel filter from the dealer, $29 for a transmission filter from the dealer, $30 for a quart of rear differential fluid from the dealer, $16 for a oil filter from the dealer and finally,,, how much for a fuel injector?? Is there a pattern???

Up in the north country we have to pay $65 for a fuel filter from the dealer but I did manage to get a case of 12 oil fiters for $15 each. Now that was a good deal that couldn't be beat by the other parts places. :D :D :D
