I didn`t mention the transmission upgrades because most already knew they were near completion. But as for the turbo, I had not seen it mentioned, and knew many have had questions as to when and if an after market turbo, or twin turbos would be offered.

Just trying to spread good cheer around.

Any word on the price of the turbo/pipe upgrade or actual dyno results? If I were to replace the turbo, it would probably be for a variable as well as increased outlet dia.

As TraceF pointed out in another thread, the biggest bottleneck (visually, at least) is in the pipe just after the turbo. The new turbo w/pipe and 4/5" exhaust should pretty much give one confidence that any performance bottlenecks are definitely elsewhere. ;)

Any word on the tranny upgrade price? That's really what I need to upgrade next.

I understand that Banks has plans to release turbo and injector mods next month...no word on exactly what they've been up to, but it should be interesting, to say the least...

Yeah I believe there are some powerstroke's with H2E but there might be some small differeces in the one they are trying on the duramax.

Hello Mackin,

I have been following the performance thread with great interest. I feel a firm shifting trannny could pick up 1/2 a second in the quarter mile. If we could improve each shift by a tenth of a second, that would be 4 truck lengths at the finish line. I look forward to these upgrades, and helping install them. smile.gif I would be nice if the stand alone engine management systems would make a version for us. We have installed a "FAST" system on a late model Camaro. This gave us total control of the engine programming. At the 600 HP level we installed a 4L80 automatic. This is an electrically controlled tranny from a 6.5 diesel application. With the "FAST" ECM we could totally program the automatic tranny. We could have multiple programs. We had a street program with mild shifts. We also made a race program with quick, firm shifts that would bark the tires. Technology is a great thing.

Geerrhead ,

I knew you were here .....Seems our paths Will cross some time this year......As long as all the reviews are on the positive side unlike the original valve body release awhile back.....

See ya in a few months, really,if things work out with the ATS set-up....

Thanks for the chime in....Would be interesting if there was stand alone programer ,maybe some day.....

Maybe old news but I see ATS also has/will have modified injectors for the Dmax. http://forums.atsdiesel.com/showthread.php?s=d94804f8ec6a97553de07a37913a4081&threadid=48

Curious how several aftermarket companies suddenly have new upgraded parts (Banks, ATS, etc). Must be a development cost sharing thing.
