It is a long time since I posted about
fuel filters......
I helped my brother in law install a pre-oem
RACOR frame mounted filter setup and has been
so busy working that he has not done any maintainence
on his truck other than oil changes.
Right now he has 22,000+ miles on this RACOR
2 micron pre-filter with no loss in power or mileage.
We're set to do R&R and I'll get photos of
the inside ASAP to post.
I sold my RACOR filter assembly and put in a CAT
as the filter replacements are less than $10 and
they can be found in any big town.
No local vendors for RACOR in the Santa Cruz/San Jose area,
so it was not economical to keep paying shipping/handling
for a damn fuel filter. Bad enough the cost of the OEM filter
is too high!
