Ok, I'm downtown and see a Fountain...about 35 feet of it. I had to check it out. Bla, bla, bla and the boat is nice. However, He looks at my truck and says " I like that truck....what is it.... Oh Yeah, nice truck" I told him that I had only seen a couple of 8 lug (playing stupid) Avi-lanche's. He said that it was a 3/4 ton with an 8.1 liter. He got me there. I did not know that an 8.1 went into one of those goofy things. Well, he went on to say it had a whipple or something and had 500 HP. I asked him if that was "at the wheel" or motor. He said it was at the wheel...... I did doubt that. Never less, I asked him if it would outrun my truck? He said yes....with out asking one question. I wonder what kind of time that thing runs? -------------

I have but one question for everyone......who'
s gonna win?

Here is an Avalanche with that set-up:

All depends on the package it comes in:

I have seen a few 1500's running 12's. It's kinda like meeting a Duramax on the street, he might be stacked or drugged........you just never know until you try it!

race for a distance of 300 miles you will win hands down! My roomate has a 8100 it is a gas pig it might get 10 or 11mpg on a good day but it runs 13.5's in 100 degree heat amazing what a lil nitrous does. the race depends on the tuning and how he launches.

If he's really making that kind of power and your not making quite alot more (we're heavy you know) then he'll win. Of course he could be a BEM (bugger eating moron) and really blow it on reaction time, or bog off the line or something and then you'd have em. :D
P.S. I still can't believe Diesels have gotten so fast we even ask such questions, wonder what ol' Rudolph'd think.

500 streetable RWHP from a blown big Chevy is well within the realm of possibility. If he doeas have that much HP, I think he'd leave all but a juiced/stacked propaned DMax well behind...............

I own one of those AV's and I belong to the Avalanche club. I can tell you that with the whipple and some extra tuning, a couple of guys here in town are running low 14's in the 2500 series. They are a heavy truck but they don't look as good going down the track as the Dmax does. :D
An Av members page that has the whipple http://www.gandolphxx.com/

I think that a HOT JUICE--4" Exhaust---Predator--Sun Coast Alli would smoke him! If the Max had drugs..... no chance. I've got one of those 8.1 liters and they are wicked but not 502 wicked. I am trying to catch up with him. His shop is with-in 5 miles of my business.... Claries, is that you tongue.gif ......I'll find him..... Showtime will happen. Information, good or bad, will be released. :D
