On my 2003 with 8,000 miles this evening I got off of the interstate. Stopped at the exit and decided to pull into traffic in a gap that required me to accelerate hard.
I pushed the pedal to the floor, the truck started to accelerate and then suddenly, around 2500 RPM there where two very distinct drop in power. Enough that I started to pull over to get out of traffic.
About as suddenly as it happened it quit and after that it seemed fine. Might have been one other small hesitation.
I have only had the truck for about 1500 miles.
Any immediate thoughts that come to mind? I am contemplating replacing the fuel filter. Later in the evening after the truck sat for 90 minutes, I drove it, let it warm up for about 5 minutes then tried a hard acceleration again, no problems.
Ideas?
