I was wondering if the JUICE or any of the big Torque progrmmers would bust parts of the dirvetrain in "LOW 4X4" mode. What if you did a hard launch? Stupid question but I just had to ask.

Peanutgrwer busted his tie rod ends in a hard 4 hi launch.....

So I'd imagine you would or could break something.... Let us know if you find the Weakest Link .....

UHUH A HARD 4X4 LAUNCH WITH THE JUICE IS NOT RECOMENDED ;) BEEN THERE DONE THAT!!! AS IVE STATED IN AN EARLIER POST I PERSONALLY KNOW OF A GUY WHO LAUNCHED HIS DUALLY IN 4X4 AND BENT THE REAR DRIVELINE WHICH LATER BROKE THE TAILSHAFT HOUSING ON HIS ALLI. :D OH YEA I WILL ADD THAT I ALSO HAD THE PROPANE AH FLOWIN WHEN THE TIERODS WENT BY THE WAYSIDE

Burner you wouldn't hurt anything in low range with a six speed truck because the power is severely limited in low. Peanut, what exactly did you do? Bend the tie rods or shear the stud off?

I have the Allison.......does that make any difference?

... Ok, I must admit it.... I "HOT JUICED" in level 4 er.. low range  ....but, there's always a but, I was on a packed sand & gravel surface. Man did it "defuel" like CrAzY! tongue.gif I thought that I was going to hit the dash! I could not stop laughing! I must be part Cowboy, part Indain because all you would have heard when this happened was .... Yeeee Hawwww---- Waaaa whoooo----hiei ouoooo ha ha ha Me Smoke'm tires--- Man, that's slicker than snail snot. It did go on like that for just a few minutes. Hey, life is a gift, enjoy every minute of it. :D It just made me think.....He was my age when he gave his life for me. I am thankfull.

I am thankful too! Sometimes it is fun to act 16 rather than 33, huh? :D

CPMac632, talk to me. Are our 6 spd trucks limited in low range? Never heard of that yet. I have heard of the fleet switch to derate in low range. Just curious, I don't need more power in 4L.

Burner & O',

Thankful here too!

Peanut,

did you spool up to break it, or just take off hard and catch some grippage?

Jelisfc all the 6 speed truck I have been around are limited severely in low range. With the trans in neutral just rev the engine a few times then slip the transfer case in low and as soon as the 4WD light comes on you will notice a big difference. I haven't tried it on an 03 yet.
