Gear Shifter hard too move???

I have a question RE.my gear selector is hard to move.It is an 05 Chev 2500HD D/A Allison with less than 1000Mi.It seem worse after being in parked on an uphill driveway.If any advice I would to know.

Try setting the parking brake before you put it in park. Don't release the parking brake until you have put the truck in gear.

I had an 03 2500HD gasser and when I got my 05 Duramax/Allison I thought it shifted into gear a lot harder than the 03. I have 3000 miles on now and I think it shifts easier than it did new, so give it a while. It might wear in fine.
