Turbo or Downpipe back exhaust?

Is there much difference in performance between the two. I thinking about installing a Edge Juice w Attitude but want to change exhaust first. I already have a AFE stage II with Proguard 7 filter on an 03 LB7.

Which company makes a turbo back exhaust for the Chevy/GMCs? I spoke to an individual at ATS a year or 2 ago that said changing the turbine outlet pipe didn't make much difference. On my '01 Chevy it doesn't look like there is much room for a larger pipe without modifying the firewall. Can the turbine/compressor wheels be changed on the LB7 turbos?

Magnaflow is advertising some turbo back systems.

There is no readily available true turbo back system that I am aware of. The turbo back systems start at the Vee clamp right by the starter. Cat or flange back systems start behind the torsion bar crossmember.
