"NEW" style injectors in Duramax

I just brought my 03 in to get injectors replaced for the fifth time. The service advisor told me that GM has came out with a brand new injector that they are putting in all the 01-04 (LBY) motors. The problem should never arise again. I did a search here and found nothing. Is he blowing smoke?

FWIW i was told the same thing. dealer just replaced my '01 injectors. i talked with the parts guy, he said that there was a noticable difference in the old and new parts
