If you don't mind me asking, are you leaving it in 4wd the entire run or clicking it out? I had what I think was a bad torque converter and my best run to date is a 14.0 @ 99 mph, 1.9 60 ft.
I swapped it out and it feels better on the street. I got my Hot Juice with Attitude back and am going to the track tomorrow to see what happens.

4wd all the way. No matter when you disengage, it doesn't come out until the load is off the driveline like at the end when you let off the pedal and get on the brakes

Thats what I thought. By the way are you locking the front diff on the runs also? I tried it once and the truck did some weird things.

JR

Can't find my specs and instructions on my locker, but remember something about not going over something like 40mph with the locker engaged. Guaranteed 111mph with the locker engaged is asking for big time catastrophic disaster. Basically if the locker was engaged all your doing is probably going to loose speed and time as you are adding more friction/resistance.

If only we could make it come out of 4x4 without letting of the go pedal, then we would see some lower times.

Good job Michael, impressive, can't wait till you get injectors and turbo as we all know thats in your future mods. Later Jeremy

Check out this run by a F350. You may have already seen it, it is apparently Cummins powered. That is a lot of truck to be moving down the track that fast!

THAT IS JUST AWESOME!!

Sdaver and I were talking about you a while back, wondering how you were getting such good 60' times and performance overall. I think we finally just settled on lots and lots of practice, skill and a common sense approach to addressing all of the factors necessary to maximize traction, make power ,etc.

It's also very reassuring to see that the rest of the drivetrain (engine, axles, CVs, u-joints, etc) seem to be holding up fine.

Congrats!

...I think we finally just settled on lots and lots of practice, skill... I was thinking that as well, but have you seen the ET's his g/f gets? Check out the 60' time -- if she ever finds the button for the NOS... ;)
