Changed the oil and filter today. I went with 10 quarts of Delvac 1 and a AC/Delco PF2232. Filled the filter with the oil, let it soak in then topped it off. 1 full turn with the wrench after initial contact. So far no ticking and none of that Dino oil smell from the engine. :D

Just hopes this fixes the my tick for good.

I've heard that before.... Mine does it doesn't do it. Since I have switched to synthetic I really don't notice it at all. Or perhaps it is mileage accumulation. How many miles on your truck? Did you read Mechanic Willie's post? He hit it right on the head. I
will be changing my oil this weekend. I hear it most prominent right after an oil change. When pressure is greatest with new oil.... I also for the first time going to use the fumuto valve install. Perhaps I'll post some PICS the ease of using. First I'll by some stocks. That's not inside trading which is illegal right?
MAC :D :D

^...The tick has been figured out. I'm not sure why most refuse to accept it as a Dmax characteristic. MechanicWillie is on the money.

The only thing he left out was a picture.
