DFW to Minot, ND and back 3417.3 miles total, 181.7 gallons of fuel oil, 18.8 avg.mpg, 50 mph avg. The truck had 900 miles on it before we left so I changed the oil to Rottela T.
This TRUCK is incredable!!!!! :D The kids never fought and never ask "Are we there yet" What a Blessing.
The engine temp runs at 205 and trans temp at 190 a little high for my liking (this is the same for daily driving) oat in the upper 90's-low 100's. comming down Pike's peak the engine temp was about 180 trans temp about 160, oat @ 48. I became horrified in the the Black Hills when the trans temp hit 210, oat in the low 90's.
PROBLEMS NOTED: The fuel gauge is not accurate, at 3/8 showing on the gauge the DIC shows about 28 gallons and the DIC is very close to actual usage. The ds rear seat belt hangs up sometimes. No other issues found.
My wife was a little upset at $41,000 price tag until this trip, now she grins as big as I do :D :D
Anyway there is a family of 5 that is tickled pink over this BIG RED MONSTER in the driveway. At lest until Aug. 20th
