Went to the track to run the TST Comp and Edge Comp with the ATS level 3 tranny without a fuel pump (stock fuel system). Launching with 10# of boost in 4wd with 1/4 tank of fuel.

The TST Comp would cut out (run out of fuel) in 4th and 5th gear and I had to back off a little then get back into it but still ran 13.2's. It wouldn't cut out on 8 & 7 but would on 9 & 7 or higher settings. I think the TST box with a pusher pump would run a 1/10 or 2/10's faster. It put out smoke almost the whole way down the track.

1/4 - 13.160 @ 101.64 - timeslip (http://antiquetractorpulling.com/13.16@101.64.jpg)
1/8 - 8.432 @ 83.62 mph
60' - 1.743

1/4 - 13.256 @ 99.63 mph
1/8 - 8.450 @ 84.44 mph
60' - 1.747

1/4 - 13.261 @ 99.73 mph
1/8 - 8.401 @ 82.49 mph
60' - 1.689

1/4 - 13.272 @ 98.77 mph
1/8 - 8.406 @ 81.52 mph
60' - 1.672

1/4 - 13.271 @ 99.87 mph
1/8 - 8.459 @ 82.55 mph
60' - 1.738

The Edge Comp was almost as quick, it only smoked a little taking off but cleared up and didn't run out of fuel or cut out. The Comp Juice is one second faster with the ATS tranny than the hot juice and the stock tranny. I didn't get a chance to run the 125hp setting with the ATS tranny but I'm sure it would be faster than the 14.301 @ 92.46 mph I ran with the stock tranny.

1/4 - 13.348 @ 99.87 mph
1/8 - 8.500 @ 83.61 mph
60' - 1.729

1/4 - 13.372 @ 98.87 mph
1/8 - 8.515 @ 83.58 mph
60' - 1.752

  That is boogeying especially for your truck and tire size. A 13.160 is pretty spectacular considering you had to back out of it to keep up with fuel demand.

You can add a lift pump for under 200 to stop that fuel issue. Will only add a couple of pounds, so you should still come out ahead.

I've got the pump, plumbing, hose, hardware and everything sitting right here but I didn't have time to put it on before going to the track.

Impressive times. Did you go to a pull this weekend??? Wondering how the new power is, most likely alot more tire slipppage at the beginning, but once they hook i can imagine.........look out the way. :D Later Jeremy

Now IF,
The injectors are running short on fuel in 13-15secs @ wot? Can we relate this same configuration toting say 10-15klbs up a steep long grade for say 15-20mins?
There is no way in this scheme that I see the injectors getting enough fuel for cooling.
This is what has been suspect all along & was the sole reason we installed the stanadyne. With no box at all @ wot & heavy weight, is there enough flow for any cooling? Don't think so.

Thanx Mike, I see $50k race cars that cannot post these kinda times!

great times.......my pump fm100 puts about 6psi pre oem filter and I still have the bursting issues(with the tst not with the edge comp)...could be the harness as jess suggested. Im not sure what clints using but I think its around 12 psi.......great times you have made us all proud :D dave

I too wonder how hot the fuel is getting with only a 1/4 tank to circulate thru.......my bursting issues are less on the initial runs before everything gets real hot.....Im not sure the fuel cooler helps much at the track

Is the lack of fuel something a lift pump will help? The lift pump only brings fuel to the main pump. Would the main pump not putting out enough volume be the culprit?

Thats just sweet!, Well I have great news too! I put my tranny in limp mode today. On the way back from a pull I was messing arround with level 9 setting and welp all the sudden there I was in 3rd gear and a check engine light. I'm going to have to bring out some real mental strength to keep from spending money on tranny upgrades. I'll be staying away from dragracing and sticking to the pulling. I got 2nd today out of 11. So far for the 3 pulls I've went too, I'm 22 dollers better off just considering prize money minus entry fees. I'm having fun. I'm going to be going to Terre Haute on the 23rd. Look forward to meeting you, Tomac.
