Has anybody added this fuel filter to their Duramax? Its from Lubrication Specialties. Cost is $175. It mounts where the second alternator would go. Looks oem. It comes with a 2 micron Baldwin fuel filter.

I saw it at the Rendezvous in Salt Lake City this past September, however I have dual alternators, so it won't fit in that location on mine. I may look into remounting it elsewhere. I don't think you can over filter anything. Greg is a great guy who is honest, and I've purchased from him along with other members. Most advertisers on The Diesel Page are great to work with. ;)

I installed one this morning in the pre oem configuration with the intention of changing it twice as often as the oem. A five minute process vs 25 to get to the oem. Simple staight forward instructions. Your injectors will thank you. When you order get spair filters.

Its a 3 micron that was used in Ford diesel applications.

I added one this weekend, took alot longer that I had expected. Pretty good kit. Was pretty difficult getting the new hoses connected to my 2003.
