Here is a link to a video of a duramax beating a Z06 Vette in the 1/4 mile. I had to let the video play through twice before I got it to play right.

I also got a couple of a Cummins and DMax pulling back to back in a parking lot and the Cummins won. Something looked a little fishy. The DMax spinning and the Dodge was just driving away with hardly any tire smoke. Maybe weight or no lockers in the Dmax?

It's got to be a bummer to get beat by a diesel pickup. :D

I NEVER GOT THE VIDEO PART TO WORK. I COULD HEAR THE SOUND AND SOUNDED LIKE SOMEBODY ENJOYED THE DIESEL BEATING THE GAS BURNER. I TOO, THINK THERE IS SOMETHING FISHY ABOUT THE DODGE PULLING THE CHEVY.

Dang! Talk about abuse. I wouldn't want to be the poor soul buying either of those trucks once the owner gets finished tearing it up and sells it.

I would have loved to have been there when he had to face his freinds after being beat by a diesel truck 3X his weight!

I would just about guarantee you that he Dodge was chipped. I have yet to see a stock truck bellow smoke like that. You notice the Chevy did not smoke much at all (except for the tires). Look at other videos of chipped trucks under load. All of them bellow smoke like crazy. Dodge smokin, Chevy not. Thats what I see.

Cool video.

There is no competition in a "tug 'o war". It's all about traction, and nothing else. Too many variables. For instance, the Dodge's hitch was higher, which would certainly give predictible results in itself, as traction would be transfered from the lower, to the higher. A "fair" pull would result in 2 broken trucks, in the real world. Another thing...You could easily "stage" the outcome. Once he spins, just make sure you don't, and you can pull him around all day. You don't get "new" traction on pavement, like you can find on dirt. Once you spin, it's all over.
