When i got my 01 Duramax I installed a drain valve that was recommended by people in this forum. I sold the truck and now want to buy another valve but I forgot the name. It was heavy duty and I think it was made in europe. Had a funny name. Was 3 piece. You installed the valve and it had a cap. You remove the cap and install the drain hose which pushes against a check valve allowing the oil to flow. I did a search but was unable to find anything. Does any one remember the name? Thanks

Fram SureDrain, or something like that. The Fram and Fumoto valve were the only ones I remember seeing discussed here.

The Fram is manufactured a bit more East of Europe. Fram is a "funny" name and is as you describe.
