Changed my Lift Pump yesterday and works fine with 12V applied to terminal G of DTC connector with truck not runnig, lots of fuel from water drain. However, opening water drain when running, no fuel out of hose and truck started to die.

Checked voltage at terminal G and ONLY 8.5V WHEN RUNNING - is this ok place to check for voltage? - doesn't seem normal. Will check volts at pump now.

Now suspecting OPS or wiring. Any other
suggestions?

Am doing all this account stalling seriously in last couple weeks - working my way down to PMD or IP. Have check and cleaned grounds also.

Thanks in advance.

you should have 12 volts @ terminal F (thats the way 95's are) when the truck is running.

definitely you should have fuel coming from the petcock while running.

I concur OPS..

Thanks very much for the info... Changed and working well...

What is your opinion re adding a relay in parallel to control pump per other members suggestion..

ol9465er - it'll take the amperage load off the OPS points - should greatly extend the life of the OPS. That's my theory. I did a dumb write up on how I did mine a short time ago.

Many other threads - search on - OPS Relay -( that's how I found the above) Not that bad really.
