allison fluid capicity drain

how many quarts of fluid does the allison hold? and is there a simple way to drain the fluid? any replies will be greatly appreciated. dave p

Holds 12.7 qts, if you drop the plug and spin on filter you can replace 7.4 qts. I changed mine with Transynd synthetic. Don't forget to change over the magnet on the spin filter from the old to the new. Torque for the drain plug is 25 ft/lbs. Filter one turn after gasket contacts base and don't forget to lube gasket.

To do a complete flush takes 20-22 quart. Thats pan and tc.
