Anyone know exactly what he did? I'm about to put a new gauge cluster in mine and want to make the gauges easier to read at night. I think part of what he did was to paint the sides of the gauge housings with silver paint or cover them with mylar foil, and paint the needles fluorescent orange as well. Was there anything else? Thanks in advance.

Phil,

I'm starting to plan to do the same thing to my trucks. Here is the link

Brighter dash lights for the 73-87 series (http://forum.thedieselpage.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=002596)

Just to let you know, I really got an education out of the post where you asked about which IP was better. I now know how to "read" Stanadyne's model number codes and what the potential is of the pump. Helps with future plans and parts hunting.

How's your buddy doing?
