Maybe they meant 1000 ftlbs. If so that's believable.

Could have been, but considering the source of this rumor I think it is all BS. The fellow who told my dad about this also said that his '03 Cummins has beaten chipped Powerstrokes & Duramax trucks. He also said that a friend of his got a 6.0 PS, but already had aftermarket injectors in it. Correct me if I'm wrong, but are injectors even close to being availble yet for the 6.0?

I wish I could have been there to talk to this guy, it would have been very entertaining to say the least. ;)

Yeah I believe there will be 1000 hp cummins before there will be a 1000 hp duramax and I don't believe there are any 1000 hp cummins driving around yet.

Heavy Duty Neil,

Did this fellow that talked to your dad (or his friend) happen to be named "01F350SRW"? ;)

That's a nice setup from ATS, 1000HP may be a little steep, 1000ftlbs I would believe. This is also a good picture of the actual stock "down pipe" or "turbo pipe". Lots of exhausts out there say down pipe back, but their kits only come from that band clamp and back. I think JK was trying to explain this before, just thought it was a good picture of what that pipe looks like. Thanks for posting that thread wild bore.
