Cetane ratings ?

How do you go about finding the cetane of fuel? I have not seen it posted on a pump. I have asked at several stations but the attendants seemed to have no idea of what I was asking for. Do you have to contact the distributors? Thanks

Most on highway diesel is 45 to 50 cetane rated. very few fuel stations have this posted on the pumps for some reason. i have seen it most at truck stop fuel pumps mostly...
