Trans fluid type

Can anyone tell me if the chevron syn transmission fluid will work in the Allison tranny. It is synthetic and labeled heavy duty, the guy at the jobber said it would work anywhere dex3 would. Thanks in advance...

Check the bottle and make sure it's approved for Dextron 3 use, if so then it should work, if not then don't put it in as you could void your warranty.
