I sent an email to Superchips inquiring about their product. Here is the response:

Hi

GM Duramax
95 hp 155 ft lbs-no towing
70 hp 120 ft lbs-towing less than 6000 lbs
55 hp 90 ft lbs-towing at the limit of the vehicle

No change on the fly

Programming can be returned to stock simply by plugging the tuner in and
programming the ecm back to stock.

What do you guys think? (constructive comments only!) I was thinking of getting this one, but the new Quad Stealth towing tuner looks good too! Does anyone have hp & tq graphs for the Quad?

Personally saw one dyno tested. Makes more than advertised on the lowest settings, but does not make the advertised HP on the highest setting. Also, There is no way to change settings without re-programing.

Don't these have ability to read and erase codes also, with speedo and tire adjustments too?? Sounds just like a Predator minus the real time data monitoring. And I see them advertised for $320. For someone looking for some more go power to tow or some occasional stoplight fun, gonna be hard to beat on the price. Like to see someone give it a go and report on it. Looks like entry level programmers are dropping in price and competition units are going thru the roof (over a grand and going up). :eek:

Just installed a Superchip this morning, only took ten minutes, just like they say. WOW, is all I can say. I thought I was behind the wheel of a new truck.

The temptation was too great! :D I gave in on Sunday and purchased one on Ebay. A performance company in South Carolina had an allotment of 10 units that they were selling for $295 including 2 day ups shipping and a 30 day money back guarantee. Just can't wait till Wednesday! :D :D
