I am considering a new LBZ. From what I am hearing, the 07 body change will follow the new tahoe and surburban. If so I want a 06.

Other than a body change, do we know what else is in store for 07?

When is the best time to buy an 06? I don't want to wait so long that there is little to choose from. I heard that there may be some rebates coming in Feb?

It was a simple decision for me, i had 52k on the skins, so instead of debating which tires to buy, i just bought the truck. Seemed like a simplier choice for me. P.S., just my 2 pennies worth.

I would also be interested if anyone has info on the interior. What kind of changes, where to go for that guesstimate.

While waiting for my '02 to be serviced at the GM dealer yesterday, I walked next door to the Chevy dealer to look at the '07 Tahoes. The interior is SPECTACULAR. Seriously, truly excellent. Great design, nice materials, etc etc.

If the interior on the new GMT900 trucks is anywhere near that good, everyone here will be very very happy.

There appears to be some clutter in the rumor mill regarding exactly when the GMT-900 2500HD/3500 trucks might arrive. An article in the latest Diesel Power magazine indicated a 2009 model year introduction, but I think it'll be much sooner...

Around here there are plenty of 2500's to choose from. There is not a GMC K3500 SLT with in 300 miles and only a few Chevy K3500 LT4 around here.

I ordered a 2006 GMC K3500 SLT Crew Cab dooley yesterday. It will be Silver birch color with the dark pewter leather interior, LBZ and Allison. Got all the bells and whistles except the rear DVD system.

This is the 3rd Duramax for me. Loved the 01, best truck I ever owned. Hated the 05. Hope the 06 is like the 01 was, trouble free for 140,000 miles.

When you buy is up to you and how particular you are. I'm sure that when the new models arrive, the old ones will be discounted, BUT you may not get what you are looking for. Personally, I order my trucks so that I get exactly what I want. I haven't decided if I will wait for 07 (and impending emissions BS) or go with a 2006. Also depends when my 05 sells, but I'm not in a rush.

Well the SLE1 trim on the GMC is plenty fancy for me, I don't need 4wd, and want a crew cab LWB. There just isn't any of those around here. So I will have to order one.

I am sure as soon as I sign off on it and drive home; they will offer all kinds of discounts the very next month.... just like what happened with my 2003.
