water pump gone bad

He guy's I just had my water pump replaced has anyone else had the same problem?

Too bad about the water pump. How many miles on your truck? Was it covered under warranty?

I have 64000 miles on it and it was coverd under extended warranty.The bad part was the tech he didn't tighten two bolts one on the oil filler tube lost that bolt and the other on a bracket on top of the motor that hold a wire harness on and now a week later the low coolant light is on again .

Mine went bad at 18,000 mi. Had cold weather start up squeak all winter. When it went away the waterpump started leaking. So far new pump is OK but also the weather is warmer. I wonder if this is a problem from the DexCool.

I was wondering the same thing about the coolant after reading some of the post .

had a leaking seal behind the waterpump they replaced the pump too......3k since no lost coolant.........39k....dave

My H20 pump went out at 6400 miles. Tech cracked the engine front cover in the R&R process so it had to go back in for another 8 days. Had to add about 1" of coolant every other day for over 3 weeks after I got it back before it purged all the air. Not alot of fun.

so that is happening to mine now the low coolant light has come on again.
