Another new guy

Hi guys, new here, and new to the Duramax comunity.
Purchased the wife a new truck for Christmas, see sig, I have some 12 valve cummins exsperience but nothing in regards to the D-Max. What are some of the things I need to be aware of as a new owner ? and what should I look out for ? any power upgrades for the 2004 as of yet ? Can any power gains be acomplished under the hood, tweaking here and there ? How long should I let her run on the break in oil ? anybody using synthetic ?

We took the truck to Las Vegas last weekend she rides SWEET !!! and is very comfortable.

Hi FullPull, I'm not aware of anything you can do for a power upgrade without spending a little cash. I have an Edge standard juice and Kennedy Diesel exhaust for my power upgrades with Isspro gauges to watch things. I also have a Mag-Hitek diff cover, Amsoil BMK17 dual remote filter system, and Allision deep pan to increase all the fluid capacities. I changed the oil 3 times in the first 6K miles before I switched to synthetic stuff. Enjoy the new ride!
