It looks like it is actually the Fuel Preporator. Either they simply reduced the price or made a lower cap. unit for light duty trucks, don't know which.

Since the co. name was different, I initially thought it was a different product/co.

You'd think that removal of entrained air and resultant prevention of cavitation/prolong injector and pump life would be top billing on their advertisement.

Strange that it's not even listed.

I just spoke with a DPP salesman about the FASS. Presently, they have them for the Fords and Dodges and will have them available for the Duramax in about a month.

The unit comes with a lift pump and filtration availble to 2 micron.

The salesman says the combination of lift pump and air separator would definetely help prevent cavitation.

No doubt it is the Preporator. It looks exactly the same.

What changes would they be making for the Duramax? Electrical?

Stupid question but here goes: What I always wondered is "what do they do with the air it gets out? Where does it go?"

I believe it will be the same as for the Dodge and the Ford. The salesman said they didinot have any instructions for installing it on a Duramax. He said they still checking out the best way to mount it and would put a kit together. He said it would probably be connected straight from the tank.
