I just wanted to know how the different trannies were holding? Let us know what'cha got----> B&D - ATS - PPE - Banks - SunCoast......... and the HP & TQ that's running threw them! :D

I'm beating the heck out of my ATS level 3 pulling and dragracing with comp boxes and comp programmers by themselves and stacked. I ran a couple 8.2's in the 1/8 mile this weekend. This should be good for high 12's in the 1/4. My previous best low 13 sec 1/4 mile passes had 8.40-8.45 sec 1/8 mile times.

Hope this Post stays alive as I to am ready for a Tranny upgrade.
I have spoken to one local vendor who can get Suncoast trannys. No prices yet.
I even looked up Pro Loc site and they want $1200 for a core and $4295 for the ultimate tranny.(I would not give my good Allison tranny up so I would pay the core charge).

The more power you put to the ATS tranny the better it shifts with the controller turned on and set on its most agressive setting. The "shift kit" feel is still there but the shifts aren't as harsh with the big 200+ HP boxes. With the controller turned off it still shifts stock.

If you get the ATS tranny pay the extra $160 and get the c1 clutches, especially if you dragrace or truckpull or ever plan on running comp boxes. The L3 kit only comes with c2 & c3. I've recommended to Clint to add the c1's as part of the L3 kit. Maybe after seeing my burnt up stock c1's he will.

So level 3 ATS's big kahoona,unlimited HP, only comes with two clutch packs c2 and 3 ??

No c4 upgrade either ??

Interesting in deed ...

as burnt up (black) as my c1's were with the c2's & c3's having black spots on them c4 & c5 still looked like new but they are also the biggest clutch packs of them all.

Boy would we have love to have seen pictures of an Allison buildup including closeups of burnt/glazed clutches.
