HD....got the nipple, tapped it for a 5/16 bolt....gives a little extra protection if the lever would open, but I doubt that it would.
No problems yet, but I don't get off-road often. IMHO, if you get in a situation to damage the "nipple"....there's gonna be some other stuff bending as well!! :eek:

Get the nipple. It reduces the mess. I also agree that if you get to it, you have other things bent as well. It is pretty protected with the skip plate on the 4x4.

I have skid plates. Mine has the nipple and I attached a length of fuel line with a hose clamp to the nipple. Tuck it up out of the way between oil changes. I can drain oil right into gallon milk bottles or other suitable containers, closing the valve as the container gets near full. No mess, no fuss.

Sounds like its a nipple for my Fumoto

Good ideas, I like the hose and clamp idea also :cool:
