Break-in

Have just taken delivery of my new 2500HD Duramax/Allison. There are no break-in recommendations in the Duramax Owners Supplement. Should one use the break-in procedures as outlined in the main part of the Owners Manual, for gas engines.
If not, what is the concensus?
