I am a creature of habit, I have routines that I like to follow. Nothing goofy like brush you teeth 10 times each or always put your right foot down first after getting out of bed. But simple ones like making sure I am topped off on fuel for the work week, checking oil levels once a week when topping off the fuel, etc, etc.

OK, I

Thanks,

Most likely rotating your tires did it.

My Dmax is quieter with Delvac, no tick since I changed over at 10K.

I agree with Hoot, it was rotating the tires. tongue.gif

Rotate the tires back to the original positions. We must have scientific proof. ;) :D

 Geezus....ask a legit question tongue.gif tongue.gif

NO, really. The improved fuel milage is there. The seat of the pants feel is debateable but I know its running better and the "ticking" is gone.....period.

I run Mobil 1 in all my other cars since day one of ownership. This is the first one I waited until 10k to change.

Only time will tell but so far, so good.

I'll bet that changing that fuel filter had something to do with it. I've never heard that changing oil will have that affect.

When I changed my fuel filter (opps 20K) out it did run better but probably not as well as yours because I only changed one tire (flat)

Mine runs better on the Delvac. I just think it's "slicker" LOL :D

I noticed the exact same thing when I changed my windshield wipers. smile.gif Honestly, I've always been a Delvac worshipper...

If you think it runs good now, just wait until you wash it.... :D

I was contemplating changing my fuel filter (6K) as well.

My truck was built in 6/02 and I took it off the lot 4/03. I live in MN so I'm wondering if it may have had #2 fuel in it throughout the winter months maybe getting moved a time or two so the dealer could plow the lots. Could the filter possibly have a slight wax coating from this???
