What is the little light (I think it's a light) located up by the vol knob?
This is on the in-dash CD radio w/ theft lock.
Anyone?

If you are referring to the little white nub it is the theft lock activated light. After you program a lock code into the radio it will flash whenever the key is turned off.
I would not reccomend programming it unless you are really worried about someone stealing your radio. Chances are that an amateur will take it anyway and since I did it my radio has locked on it's own a couple of times for no reason. I wish I never did it. I guess I was just playing with a new toy. If you forget the lock code the radio must be sent away by the dealer to get unlocked.

I have to agree with John - sort of. I too, locked my radio. Four years went by and my alternator went bad (seems common). I diconnected the battery to change it, connected everything back up, CRS kicked in, and radio no worky. Went to the dealer and they hooked it up and unlocked it in about 20 mins. I am now $25 lighter and have learned my lesson.

Dangit, now I've gotta go out in the garage and
see just how bright this LED is. Curiosity killed
the....heehheheh... :D
I'll write the lock code in the glove box on
the SPID Sticker, just in case. tongue.gif

OK I did it, now to see how long it takes
before the wife asks me why this little red
light is blinking on the radio. Heheheh..
