Got in the truck tonight and the lights looked strange. Since I have had bulb issues in the past I assumed I had blown another bulb. Got out and looked and now I'm puzzled.

I have the Kennedy Harness and it has been wonderful but I have a problem and I'm not sure what it is. When the low beams are on the drivers side is okay but the passengers side looks like both bulbs are on at about 20%. When I turn the high beams on the drivers side lights both lamps and the passengers side turns both off!!

Ideas, anyone??

I would look for a bad GROUND!!!!!!!!

Dim lights is usually an inducation of a bad ground, look for anything loose or dirty.

Good Luck.

Another vote for a loose or bad ground.

I would look into the dimmer switch. My dimmer switch went out and I did not have lights when on dim. I had the switch replaced but the lights are still not right. I plan on buying a headlight harness but will get the problem fixed first because if you do not have 12V going to the relay that runs the harness it will not work. The ground is a good idea to check.

I'm finding it hard to blame a ground since the drivers side lights are fine. IIRC there was only 1 ground in the Kennedy harness.

We're off in the sportscar today so I'll have to wait till tomorrow to get into it and see. I'm thinking a bad relay though.

Okay Mac!!

2 grounds and the 2nd one was bad. I used a bolt that went through a plastic frame into a metal frame and there wasn't enough contact surface with just the bolt head. 2 star washers and it's now grounded to the air filter tray.

Wouldn't have believed it.

Thanks
