Bug Shield

Hey fellas, I bought the VentShade Bugflector II from Pep Boys about an hour ago, and the application on the box said 00-02 Sierra HD. Before I put this on my 02 Silverado, have any of you used this product or do you recommend something other than ventshade? Also, I have the Chevy but they didn't carry any for the Silverado HD, only the Sierra. Should be the same hood right? I won't install until I hear good things from y'all, thanks.

The hood is different on the 2 trucks. The chevy has a higher hood line.

installed a LUND stainless steele bug shield on my "02 D'max .... easy to install, seems pretty solid, only negative, I've noticed a wind whistle at 42mph :confused:

I bought the Cabelas brand "Off the Hood" bug shield. This is my third one. I like them alot. No rubber bumpers to put on the hood to protect it. It stays off the hood. I have found that Cabelas has a good price too. 45.99 or 44.99 for them. They are made by Dee Zee for Cabelas. Good shopping.

I too tried the Ventshade Bug Attractor (er Deflector) Did'nt keep many bugs off the windshield, pawned it off on a buddy. It also hit on my Ranch Hand Grill Guard.
