Well, I decided to put on the "winter" PYO's Friday(had some free time, and that don't happen to often)
As I cleaned the American Racing wheels, I noticed a CRACK  on the inside of one of the lug holes. Looked at another and the same thing! These babies are going back! Both wheels came off the back. I rotated them once in June.

Anybody else notice this? You have to take the wheel off to see it. Maybe, I caught it in the early stages.

What is the load capacity of the wheels?

Are they cast or forged? Cast wheels have been known to break in truck applications. Forged wheels are the only way to go!!

Hey Buck,

How much torque are ya putting on those wheels? If you are using an impac..don't. There is one way to "pop" lugs and dammage wheels, over torquing.

I have never used an impact to tighten them. I have always torqued per instructions that came with wheels. No they didn't "pop" as the crack only goes from the inside edge of the lug hole to the inside edge of the hub circle. Why just one crack per wheel? Stress cracks?

BTW, They are rated for 3000lb per wheel (stamped on inside of wheel) Not sure if they are cast or forged?
