Who has the know how to add an express down to the passenger side window? When I can open my window with the express down on the drivers side and have to hold the passenger side window button down, I wonder what is the point. If the truck is hot, I am just getting into it, I want both windows down, not***ut the drivers.

I agree and would also like to know how to add that capability. And while we're working on the wish list - is there a way to enable Express Up?

My old 1997 Sierra 1/2 ton had the same issue. when i installed my alpine alarm, it gave me the ability to have 1-touch up/down for both driver & passenger side windows. It sure was a great feature that i miss in my dmax. perhaps other aftermarket alarms offer that as well?

Some of the aftermarket alarm systems offer these features. The Clifford Avantgaurd4 I had installed provides Express up and down for ALL FOUR windows - but required the optional Smart Window modules (one for each window pair).

Also provides for an adjustable 'vent mode' - 2 or 4 windows will open the amount you program after you arm the alarm. If the windows are down when you arm the alarm, they roll all the way up, then vent to the setting you have programmed.

I'd bet if you search around, you can find a module to provide the express features without adding an alarm.

Express down is included on the 2003 GMC on both windows, extended cab.

Hmmm . . if it's now on both windows in 03 there is likely a simple GM part that can be back-fit to the earlier years. Time to start digging into the parts listings

Thanks for the advice on the alarm system modules - another good place to research.

Thanks again  smile.gif

I just took a look at a '03 crewcab, and it looks like all 4 doors have "Express" switches. Can someone confirm?

Maybe I'm missing something, but —

Since the 01's/02's have an express down switch for the driver, couldn't you order one (or three for the crew cab) more for the remaining doors?

It's not the switch that makes it express. There is a relay etc involved. I'm wondering if anything from a 2003 will fit a 2002 in this area anyway. Wasn't there talk that the 2003 will have the dual wire coded system in the doors instead of mutilple wires?? This would also preclude using the new 2003 mirrors on an older model.
