Ok here is my problem...
I am a fly fishing junkie. I mean I have got fly fishing-itis bad.
One of the symptoms of advanced fly fishing-itis is owning your own drift boat. Mine is a 2001 Tunnel Hull Clacka Craft, oar & current driven, and it is quite possibly the only drift boat in Southern California.
Anyway, since drift boats are rare out here, there is no shuttle service on many of the rivers that I float and fish. So unlike the states where drifting is common place, when I take out at the end of the day, my truck isn't waiting for me.
To solve this problem, I drop off and lock up my little Trail 90, sort of like an moped that is built for off & on road, at my predetermined take out point on the river. I then have a friend stay with the boat as I take the trial 90 to get the truck from our put in point.
Here is the problem...
With my old truck, I just put the Trail 90 in the bed of the truck. However, I got tired of my stuff getting wet and the lack of security, so my new truck wears an ARE shell.
And well, my boat & trailer are already on the rear hitch.
So where to put the Trail 90???
Since I already have a front hitch on the truck, I have been thinking about putting the Trail 90 in a carrier on the front hitch.
Has anybody done something like this?
If so, could you recommend a carrier that doesn't ride super high and block a ton of visibility?
Thanks,
