Is there a way to tap into the head unit and get line level output for running a sub amp?

My sub amp has a built in low pass filter and sensitivity setting and accepts both left and right channel inputs, so I just need a clean line level signal from somewhere to feed it.

Since I have a crew cab, I'd rather not pull my signals from the speakers in the doors via speaker level -> line level adaptors.

Hey Chevmeister, that's EXACTLY what I'm looking for. Great find!

I believe the unit to get would be:

GM Trucks & SUV's Non-Bose (#AOEM-M21C) $59.00

This little guy will retain all the factory stuff AND give you 2 sets of RCA outputs (front and rear).

I take it the factory amps are not mounted in the head-unit?
