While at Kragen auto today I noticed on display that they sell a reflash module or tuner. The display said that it would work for Chevy,Dodge or Ford trucks. It could be used to increase HP, torque, change shift points and crispness of shifting. Does anyone have experience using this or any comments? The display had a price of $139.00 Thanks

Everything I have seen has been for Gas versions. If Diesels were included, the 6.5 was always left out.

Read the fine print.

I was back at kragen auto again today. Checked out the "Hypertech" display to see if there was any info or "fine print" about a 6.5 programmer.
No fine print or info listed, only a website to inquire about your specific model. www.hypertech.com (http://www.hypertech.com) they make a tuner for the duramax, powerstroke, and dodge cummins, but!

You guessed it. No module for the 6.5l

That's too bad, would have been cool!

Way back in 1997, HyperTech contacted me to announce they were nearly ready to release a programmer for the 1996+ 6.5 diesels. We waited... we waited.... and we waited for a couple more years.... It was never released, but they did at least consider it.

You can thank the Duramax on there not being any aftermarket for the 6.5.
