Headlights

Do you know if the headlights on '02 and '03 Chevy Silverado are positive (high side) or ground (low side) switched? The reason I am asking is because my fire chief need a headlight flasher for his truck.

02's are positive.

The C/K's were positive switched, but the Silverado's went to negative as I understand. This is why we needed to go to a 2 way, 4 pin connector on the HB kits to universalize between the two applications.

My 99 Sierra is both!

It has a relay controlling to the positive side of both bulbs when the headlight switched is turned on. The negative circuit is made depending on whether the high or low beam is selected.
